About the course

The Photovoltaic Systems Planner/Designer Certificate (SS-PVD) provides recipients with extensive knowledge and practical exposure to the complete steps in designing and permitting small to medium-sized photovoltaic solar energy systems. Recipients are capable of effectively executing the entire process of designing a photovoltaic solar energy system from the initial stage of site evaluation and selection to system operation. This includes producing detailed electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings, obtaining permits, specifying the system and equipment sizing, and other supporting documents.
